Thanks Sharon,
I am familiar with this source of lineage of Robert b 1755, who I am sure is my common ancestor. But as of late we, meaning Beverly Kane and myself, question if John b 1731 is indeed the father of Robert.A book published by Frank Doherty, Settlers of the Beekman patent, has John's sons as ancestors of the Husteds who settled up in Michigan.John is supposed to have been from Dutchess Co and Robert wasn't born there, south of there between Fishkill and Peekskill according to Robert's rev war pension papers. He doesn't mention his parents in the pension papers as I have read the original.
Doherty has John as the progeniter of the whole bunch (formerly orphaned) Jonathan, Ephraim, Benjamin, Asher and Stephen.
So I am not sure without some other piece of corroborating evidence as the parents of Robert Hustead b 1755.
There is a DAR application that gives Robert's father as David b 1731, but those aren't always right either.
If anyone has evidence as to Robert's parents, please let me know so I can check it out.
And if anyone knows the whereabouts of Vic Heusted, noted Husted genealogist who lived in Tucson, we need to contact him!!!He is lost but not thought to be dead.
