I am looking for a Richard Huth who lived in Baltimore, but I have been unable to locate him in census records.

This is what I have about him & possible relations:

Richard immigrated to Baltimore around 1851. He served in the Civil War for the Union army as a cook and a drummer. When he came out of the army he was a sawyer. He was allowed a pension after the war. His name was pronounced "hoot", but somehow his name was misspelled to Hath.

He was married prior to his marriage to Fredericka, and had 2 girls by this marriage.

Obituary: Hath - on August 8 Richard Hath aged 69 years. Funeral willtake place from his late residence, 1011 Stiles St. on Saturday at 7:00 a.m. thence to St. Michael's Church where a mass of requiem will besaid for the repose of his soul. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
