I am Dawn's brother-in-law. My Grandmother Laura Hasse, who is also a Huth descendant mentioned the town of Broden, in West Prussia. I did find such a town on an old map once, on the border between East and West Prussia. My grandmother said at least half the people spoke Polish there, which makes sense. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, WWI and WWII pretty much destroyed the place and what few Germans remained were deported by Stalin in the late 40's to unknown fates in the Soviet Union. I think it is unlikely that any local records survived the wars.
