I am researching the Hutters who are my aunt's family. She is Martha (Mamie) HUTTER (1893-1936), oldest child of Joseph Hutter/ Hotter, Jr (Joe) & Margaret MARTIN (Maggie). Mamie had lots of sisters and one brother Arvie (Harvey?)b.~1913. Her sisters were Laura M (who marr. Bennie M. BIEN and had 3 ch), Freda (1896-1901), Hazel, Idell, Nora, Agnes, Beatrice and Sylvia.
Mamie was married Nov 1915 to John Arvid NISEN. He left her and his family of 4 living children in Biwabik, MN during the depression. Arvid's family had no means of supporting this sweet daughter-in-law (the Nisens thought very much of Mamie) so encouraged her to return with her children to her family in Wisconsin. The names of her children were Delores (1918-1983), Joe (1922-1981), Shirley (1925-1995), and Meg (1931-1999). Times were tough and I understand that the children were separated and raised among relatives and friends. Any help would be so appreciated.
