Betty,

This is the family I have been working on for a long time. I have a lot of information on John Eaton Hyman and his brothers after they arrived in SC.
I would like more on Welthy Hyman who was said to have been Welthy O'Cain before she married John Eaton Hyman. Was she a daughter of William O'Cain? Was her mother Joyce Ann O'Brien?
The O'Cains also migrated to SC in the late 1700s and early 1800s.
I have information on Welthy and John Eaton's children.
I have more on Welthy and her second husband Cannon Gibbs. This is the ancestor I am working on. NO ONE seems to know where in the coastal region Cannon Gibbs came from. I have been tracing him and the Hymans back to Bertie and Martin County, NC looking for clues to Cannon's parents.
There is a lot of information on the Hymans.
Have you come across ANY Gibbs in Bertie or Martin County, NC? I did find a Whitley Gibbs on the 1810 and 1830 Census records for Martin County, but nothing else on him..anywhere!
Thanks for the response.
Susan in SC
