Subject: Albert & Louisa (nee FAHNLE) DE Klotz, Iowa/S.D.

Looking for family members willing to share information on this family. Albert was born circa 1869 and immigrated to the US about 1888. Louisa was born about 1870 and immigrated very young and appears naturalized about 1880. Both probably met in Benton County, Iowa. They made their initial home in Norway where four of their seven children were born between about 1893 and 1900. They then moved to Flandreau, Moody County, S.D. where their 7th child was born by 1910. Albert opened a restaurant and was tragically killed in a fire in the restaurant in 1925. Children as follows:
--Raymond b 1893, Iowa. Married Sarah Buck probably in Flandreau; d 1976 in Hennepin, Minn.
--Veronica DeKlotz (b 1896, Iowa), married James Duncan about 1915. They had two children as of 1930 and were living on 1st Street west in Flandreau.
Mildred Duncan (b 1918, South Dakota, probably Flandreau)
Morris Duncan (b 1927, South Dakota, probably Flandreau)
--Ida M. DeKlotz (b 20 July 1897, Iowa; died 30 December 1983), married Hank Russell of Flandreau AFTER 1930; no children
--Louisa M. DeKlotz (b 1900, Iowa), married? Died prior to Ida’s death in 1983.
--Bertha M. DeKlotz (b 1902, South Dakota). She married ??? Burkhard and was living in Omaha, Nebraska as of 1983.
--George A. DeKlotz (b 1904, South Dakota). He was living in 1983 in Walnut Creek, CA
--Grace G. DeKlotz (b 1910, South Dakota). She married ??? Taplette and as of 1983 was living in Cold Springs, Minnesota
I have a 5" x 7" b & w high quality Wedding picture print of Albert and Louisa in Cedar Rapids and possibly her mother. Have other, unidentified family pictures....hope to share and get labeled. Pat Russell
