Marriage record of THORP and WILLIAMS in 1857?

I'm looking for information on my ancestors, Edward Thorp (b. 1827 or 1834 in Wheeling, Ohio Co., West Virginia; d. December 21 or 24, 1885 or 1886 at Marcus Lake or 40 miles from Eagle Rock, Idaho - conflicting reports) and Sarah Amanda Williams (b. Jan. 28, 1835 in Pittsburgh, PA; d. Dec. 11, 1923 in Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon; m. Sept. 1, 1857 in Vinton, Benton Co., Iowa). In particular, I'd like to get a copy of Edward and Sarah's marriage record. Do they have marriage records for 1857 in Vinton, Iowa? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just for info, in case anyone is interested in Edward and Sarah:

Edward served in the Civil War in the 32nd Iowa Infantry, Company B. He was wounded at the battle at Lake Chico, Arkansas on June 6, 1856.

After Edward and Sarah moved to Idaho, Edward took sick and died a few days later presumably from pneumonia. He was too far from the nearest doctor 40 miles away at Eagle Rock, Idaho. Edward's son in law, Peter Boqua (married to Flora Thorp), helped bury Edward. I do not know where. The last census where Edward was listed was the 1880 US Census at the Pleasant Valley District or Beaver Canyon, Oneida Co., Idaho.

Sarah and Edward had 4 children: Capitola Thorp (b. Nov. 23, 1860 in Pocatello, ID), Flora Thorp (b. July 1858); Charles Thorp (b. 1852) and Rose or Rosa Thorp (b. 1868).

Sarah went on to marry two more times (to John Leslie and George W. Ellis respectively).

If anyone can help me with this family, I'd be very happy! Thanks,

Laurie
