I am trying to find any information that I can on the origins of this man - his parents, siblings, etc. I can find NOTHING before the following entry from the 1860 Census.
1860 Census of Jackson Iowa:
Ivory Lambard, age 20, born ME, a laborer, living in the household of Samuel Darling.
1880 Census of Richland Iowa:
Ivory Lambard, age 41, a farmer, born ME; his wife Margaret, age 38, keeping house, born Ohio.
1885 Census of Dakota Territory – South Dakota
Ivery D. Lumbert, age 47, born ME; his wife Maryland Lumbert, age 44, born OH.
1900 Census of Mankato, MN:
Ivory Lumbert, born Apr. 1838 in ME, age 62, hotel keeper; his wife Lilly, born Jun 1846, MA, married 34 years. Also in household is Charles Bermack, listed as son-in-law, born Mar. 1858, MA, age 42, widower; his son Arthur C. born Sep 1884, in SD, age 15; and Marie born Oct. 1890, age 9. (Cen00)
1905 Census of Mankato, MN; Ivory Lumbert, age 67, manager of hotel, born Enfield MA OR ME; his wife Lucy A. age 59, born NY, father born VT mother born MA. Both were residents of Mankato for 7 months.
