In the Iowa 1895 state census for Clayton Co., Richard J. McAndrews is still living there at age 27. There are several McAndrews people in the 1895 census living in Clayton Co., at Mendon, which is where your Michael McAndrews lived for so many years:
Thomas McAndrew, age 58, b. Ireland
Rose McAndrew, age 51, b. Ireland (probably wife of Thomas)
Richard J. McAndrews, age 27, b. Clayton Co, Iowa
Nellie McAndrews, age 22, b. Clayton Co., Iowa (probably wife of Richard?)
Edward M. McAndrews, age 2, b. Minnesota (probably son of Nellie and Richard)
William McAndrews, age 0, b. Clayton Co., Iowa (probably son of Nellie and Richard)
Mary McAndrews, age 50, b. Ireland (could this be the 2nd wife of and widow of your Michael McAndrews?)
Maggie McAndrew, age 15, b. Clayton Co., Iowa (this looks like Margaret, daughter of your Michael)

I don't think the family moved at all, except for Terrence, who was in Minnesota. It looks like Richard was in Minnesota at some time as well, as his first child, Edward M. McAndrews, was born in Minnesota according to the 1895 census.

Also in the death index at www.usgenweb.com for Clayton Co., Iowa, there is an entry in the index covering 1880-1897 which shows MICHAEL S. McANDREWS, entry 18, page 106. No dates, but I suspect this is your Michael McAndrew(s) who died in Clayton Co. and is buried there.
