Hello,
I am also researching a Zulke family in Iowa. My research indicates that they were in the Riceville area of Iowa in the early 1900's.
The family is that of Johann Christian Zulke & Hanna Louissa Wittstockin.
I believe that their daughter Wilhelmina is the wife of Friedrich Michael Grambauer who immigrated with their family to Australia in 1863.
If these are in your family please contact me to see if we can confirm the link between the families.
The family name may also have been spelt "Zilk".
