Hi Paul, You have nothing to apologize for, nor do I feel I should either. I was not being critical of your post. As I said, I do not normally respond to hidden e-address. My reply was only meant as a suggestion on how better to post a request for a specific record that you need, which would be the 1850 census. If I didn't want to help you I wouldn't have responded at all. Here is the index from Ancestry which I believe is your family.
