Hi Dale, My only question to you was unanswered. "When & where do you have John, Mary and the son David Edwards on census records" Until then, you're just chasing smoke. The 1880 & later census reciords lists both the individual & parental nativities. You should be able to find all three on the 1880 census, or at least the men. If you must name a town in a request, it's always best to include the county. Primary census records are by state & county. A town name is not always relevant in a request. And right now you're a couple of light years away from finding John & Mary's pareents. But when you get to that point, hopefully you'll have a locale to work with. Dick
