You still out there? Just learned that my gggrandfather John Olson Lewis had a brother Thomas Lewis and that their father was Isaac Lewis.
A newspaper article in the New Sharon Star (where John lived) dated 1//1/1913 had a "30 Years Ago Today" feature, which would have been 1883 "Isaac Lewis came into town Friday from Mt. Ayer, and is visiting his son John and many friends. He states his wife is now blind, and quite feeble, which all will regret to know."
Not sure where you are now, if you're still connected, but my little sister is today in Oskaloosa, Iowa researching the family.
