Not sure just what we have here......but my son's great grandfather was Steve Jacobellis. According to
my son's grandmother, the name was changed when he came over
from Italy from Iacobellis, because they couldn't spell it
at the immigration entry.
My ex-mother-in-law's people are from Bari, Italy.
Steve/Stefano/Stephano came to Brooklyn NY, and there they
stayed.
I have as his parents, Nunzio Jacobellis or Iacobellis and
Rose Tullo.
Would like to hear from you.
BTW, my ex m-i-l's name is Frances.
