Our ancestors really moved around a lot and it makes researching diffiicult but fun.
What was your mother's name?
William Wesley Smith b. Sept. 16, 1852 in Corinth, Miss. d. Sept. 2, 1932 in Dawson,, TX. He was the son of John D. SMith and Elizabeth J. Smith. Mary Clementine Ijams was born abt 1854 in Corinth, Miss. and Died Oct. 22, 1968 in Waco, Texas. They were married on Decemb er 2, 1878 in Mississippi.
Mary was the daughter of Vachel M. Ijams and Martha Smith. Vachel was b. Sept. 30, 1830 TN and d. June 4, 1864 Battle of Helena, Ark. He married on January 6, 1853 in Davie Co., N.C., Martha Smith who was born Dec. 15, 1834 in Rowan Co., N.C. and d. March 28, 1916. They had four children, 2 girls [includes your Mary] and two boys.
William Wesley Smith and Mary Clementine Ijams had 10 children. I show Earl b. 1891,
William, Myrtle, Lucille, Willie, Waldo, Ruth, Floyd, Bessie and Earnest. Have more, willing to share. Roberta
