I don't have any exact dates but Anna Brown-Iams grandfather, George Washington Brown was 47 when he volunteered for the Civil War in 1861. Here is a link that lists a few more Iams in Noble County. I don't know which Iams may have been her husband. James Nelson Brown was her father and Isabella Mansperger her mother. She had 12 or 13 siblings. Ed, Ira Sankey, William Boyd (my g-grandfather), Asbury, Charles, John, George, Perley, Emma Brown-Hedge, and Francis or Frances. You'll see most of them listed in this link.
