Hi Roberta, My Iiams descendency is through our original William Eyoms/Iiams' son William. It follows like this: my grandfather William (brother to Elisha B. Iams)>Demas>Elisha>William>John>Thomas>William>William Eyoms. I left a post to each forum for Iams/Iiams/Ijams regarding my great uncle Elisha B. Iams and his extensive work with Iams genealogy. In this family, we all knew that Uncle Elisha had worked many years on family research. Contrary to some of the comments I read on the Ijams forum, our family never heard any mention or bragging of any link to Brittish royalty. It simply was not important to him or to us. There are other Iams historians in my family and I am will contact them regarding Uncle Elisha's original notes and source. I am completely confident that any information he produced was based upon information he was given and that was done back in the 1930s-1940s. What is your connection, Roberta?
