Hello-thanks for your reply. I think finding this documentation is one of the stumbling blocks for everyone working on this family's genealogy. I have no documented evidence regarding the date that William Iiams/Eyoms came to the US. Not sure if anyone does...there are several books regarding the early colonial families of MD where the Iiams family is mentioned. Based upon these and sparse church, some researchers estimate that William was born @ 1640 in the UK, so they speculate that he maybe immigrated in adulthood starting at age 18 or @ 1658. I have been trying to find confirmed proof of this, but there do not seem to be any available passenger lists. I would like to travel to Ann Arundel County, MD and see what could be found there...but respectfully-others have made the same trip and have not come up with any concrete answers that I know of.
