HIRAM I'ANSON

I have been looking at the Iansons of Wootton, Lincs just this month!I am conducting a one-name study of the Ianson/I'Anson family worldwide and have a database of information that does not necessarily appear on my website (www.ianson-international.org.uk ).A few weeks ago I was introduced to a woman whose grandmother was an I'Anson from Wootton, so I became interested in following up this line as we have VERY FEW I'Ansons in Lincolnshire.Sure enough, I found that the family originated in Yorkshire. Here's what I have:
Hiram F. Ianson appears on the 1871 census aged 15, son of Matthew Ianson (Joiner, wheelwright) age 58, born in Barton-Le-Willows, Yorkshire; and his wife Hannah, b. Wootton.A John Taylor "father" aged 80 is living with them so I assume he was Hannah's father, so she must have been Hannah Taylor (age 50).
The 1881 Census does not show Hiram at all, as far as I can tell!
The other children of Matthew and Hannah were:
John Taylor (b.Wootton, 26 Jun 1844)
Henry (b.Wootton, 19 Dec 1847)
Alice (b.Wootton, 7 Sep 1848)
Isabel Sarah (b. Wootton, 8 Jun 1853)
John T. appears on the 1881 census for Wootton but none of the others appear which is odd.
I think Matthew may be the son of William I'Anson of Barton-le-Willows (there looks to be only one I'Anson family in that village/neighbourhood), but the Parish Records are held in York at the Borthwick Institute so that research will have to wait a while.
Hope this is helpful.
