Hello Jennifer,
I don't know if your stll looking for information on the 'Iantosca's' but maybe this may help a little.
I have researched my fathers side of the family (from Hungary)in the past, but never really looked into my mothers side. Her maiden name is Iantosca.
What has taken my interest is I have just returned from holiday in Montefalcione, the village in which she was born, situated near Avellino. There are many Iantosca's still there, however, it is only a small village and around the turn of the century I would have thought it were only a tiny village - on a hill top! Located in its immediate vicinity are also the other hilltop villages of Montemilletto, Candida and Pratala Serra. I hope I can give you more information, I returned from the village yesterday (Thursday 30th August) my mother returns on the 1st Sept. My mother is almost 70 now so she can recall most of the aunties/uncles grandparents very clearly still.
All the best,
Gino.
