I am just beginning the search for my Iarussi roots; starting here because my husband and I will be in Italy in Spring or Fall 2003.
My mother's grandfather was Michael Iarussi. My grandmother, Loretta Monroe, was the youngest of his nine children. They all lived in Chicago. Michael's children changed their name to Yarus. My grandmother was born in the 1890s, her eldest brother, John, was born April 9, 1884.
Have not yet determined their father, Michael's birthdate or birth place.
