Forli Italy and the Iarussis

I was in ireland this past week and stumbled upon a really cool blurb on the Iarussi families. my great grandfather Angelo came from Forli when he was only 10 and when he got to Ellis Isle they couldn't pronounce/read his name and dubbed him Angelo Ross (how you get Ross from Iarussi, I don't know).

Here is the information I got in Dublin:
The name is derived from Iarusso literally translated to "Red John" referring to the color of hair
Lorita Iarussi daughter of Domenico and Nicolina Iarussi was born in Forli del Sannio, Campobasso, in 1746 (these folks are most likely, yet still unconfirmed, my distant relatives).
Luca Iarussi and Caterina Milano were married in Forli Del Sannio, Campobasso in 1777.

please feel free to email me if you have any more information about these folks.
