Yes, I believe we are related. My grandfather's name was Hillar Jacob Ibach. He had 5 siblings: Ida, Eva, Katie, John (died of scarlet fever) and Jacob (died of pneumonia at a young age). Their parents were John Ibach (born 1854 in Switzerland and died May 2, 1932 in Oregon) and Mary Teff (born in Iowa). John had two siblings who came over with him from Switzerland. Their names were Christopher (found in court records, but may be Christian) and Jacob. They initially moved to Illinois but then John and Christopher moved to Oregon. I am still trying to find the Illinois Ibach roots if anyone has any information. All I have is that Jacob married a Clara and lived in Forest, Illinois. Christopher and John settled on a 100 acre farm near Banks, Oregon (near Forest Grove). Christopher was shot one day while milking a cow in the barn and the murderer was never found.
