I am trying to trace members of my branch of the Ibbitson family before 1851.

I can go back to my great great grandfather James Ibbitson (down in 1881 cenus as Ibbetson, Leather Dresser)who was born in 1851 in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK and married Mary Hannah nee Watson also from Leeds.

James Ibbitson's son was George Clifford Ibbitson born in 1877 in Leeds and who married Laura nee Briggs.

Does anyone one have any connection with this side of the family and who may have information as to the father of James Ibbitson and any brothers or sisters of james or his father?
