I am very interested in the Family of Thomas Ibbitson (d. Bet. 1849-1851). He married Sarah HAMILTON, b. 1819 in Berwick on Tweed. Although Thomas may have had connections in Bradford, he was a bottlemaker and his children were born in Southwick, Sunderland and South Shields. It seems likely he may have been living in Stockton on Tees/ Durham or Thornaby on Tees, NRY before his death. His wife re-married in 1851. Their children were:
Anthony, b. Abt. 1840 South Shields, unmarried in 1881
Thomas, b. Abt 1843 Southwick, Sunderland, unmarried in 1881
James, b. 1843 South Shields, a Pudler living in Stockton in 1851, m.
Mary Donelly, b. 1848 Scotland , Their son was Thomas Ibbitson,
b. 1877 Stockton
William, b. 1846 South Shields. A Pudler living in Stockton in 1851.
Married Mary Ann ? from Hartlepool in 1854. Their children,
both born in Stockton were Mary Jane, b. 1876 and Ann Lizzy,b.1879
Joseph Stanley, b. 5 December 1849
