Joseph IBBOTSON (1721-dec.), the son of William Ibbotson and Amy Ibbotson née WILKIN, was born at Hathersage, Derbyshire, England on Sunday 25th May 1721. He married Ruth Simpson at Hathersage, Derbyshire, England on Sunday 5th December 1745, the marriage producing six children: Ruth (1746-dec.), Abraham (1748-dec.), Henry (1753-dec.), John (1755-dec.), William (1757-dec.) and Betty (1759-dec.)
John IBBOTSON (1755-dec.), farmer, the son of Joseph Ibbotson and Ruth Ibbotson née SIMPSON, was born at Derbyshire, England in 1755. He married Susannah Bradwell at Hathersage, Derbyshire, England on Wednesday 21st January 1784, the marriage producing six children: Samuel (1785-dec.), John (1786-dec.), Anne (1789-1860), John (1791-dec.), Mary (1794-dec.) and Sarah (1798-dec.).
Nancy IBBOTSON (1789-1860), also known as Anne IBBOTSON, Nancy SLACK, Anne SLACK, the daughter of John Ibbotson and Susannah Ibbotson née BRADWELL, was born at Derbyshire, England on Thursday 8th January 1789. She married Robert Slack at Glossop, Derbyshire, England on Thursday 5th June 1806, the marriage producing five children: Robert Slack (c. 1806-1857), Mary Ann Slack (1810-1835), John Slack (1813-1892), Edward Slack (1821-1895) and Elizabeth Slack (1827-dec.). She died at Bank Vale, Hayfield, Derbyshire, England on Friday 17th August 1860 and was buried at Church of St Matthew, Hayfield, Derbyshire, England on Wednesday 22nd August 1860.
Nancy Ibbotson is the 3xg grandmother of my wife, Janice Bird, nee Slack.
