I just started on this (it's my fiances family)and don't have that much to contribute but upon talking to my future mother in law who is Benjamins great-grandaughter and met him as a child.... the story I got was that Benjamins wife lost a child and went home to England for a visit. Upon returning home she found that Benjamin had just disappeared. There is more but a lot of times on these boards the email addresses are old.
