Hello,
Thank you for trying to help. I had the information for the 1920 census, the death index and, like you, I couldn't find the marriage in the online marriages for either Idaho or Washington. It looks like the marriage information for Idaho may be for "selected" counties, although the one I viewed did have some for the correct time period and for Kootenai County, Idaho. The 1930 census for Stevens County, WA shows her with her first husband, Robert Haney. The funeral home record shows the date of her 2nd marriage as 8 Aug. 1942, in Coeur d' Alene.

The one thing I didn't have was the information about great aunt Mary Laura being in the Walla Walla General Hospital, 10 Dec. 1969. In 1968 she was still listed in the Colville, Washington telephone book, and then in the Walla Walla City Directory in 1970. The directory gave her name with the address 534 Boyer and then added "IOOF Home." Her obituary said she was a member of the Faithful Rebekah Lodge No. 90, the Neighbors of Woodcraft and the Eagles Auxiliary in Colville. I don't know why she moved to Walla Walla. I don't know if the IOOF Home was affiliated to with any of the organizations where she was a member, or if she had family living in the area. If the home was affiliated, it may have been the closest place for her to go. She was 78 1/2 when she died.

I stll need the marriage look-up in the county records, and why Mary and Gurn would have gone to Idaho to get married.

Thanks again for your help. With your information about her being discharged from the hospital, it lets me know she went to Walla Walla after the listing in the 1968 Colville phone book listing and the 1970 Walla Walla city directory.
