===1926===
[This may or may not be related to George P. CAVALIER’s death; the date is exactly the same. The reference in the news item to “M. CAVALIER” may be for “Mr. CAVALIER”:

Fresno Bee | Fresno, California | Sunday, April 25, 1926 | Page 20
Former Bakersfield Woman Killed In Crash

BAKERSFIELD (Kern Co.), April 24. -- Mrs. Genevieve Rhode, former well-known resident of Bakersfield, and **M. CAVALIER** of Los Angeles were instantly killed Thursday night at Manhattan Beach, when their machine crashed with a Pacific Arctic Flier, which hurled the automobile high into the air and left it a twisted heap of debris.

Mrs. Rhode is survived by a mother, Mrs. C. EVANS, and three sisters, including Mrs. Enid KRECKLOW and Mrs. Myrtle FORSYTH, both of Bakersfield. Following an inquest the body may be brought to Bakersfield for interment.
==========

1930
1930 US census, CA, LosAngelesCo., LosAngeles
324 West [62nd or 63rd] Street
CAVALIER, Raymond E., head, 23, born Washington DC, father MA, mother MA, Litho Engraver, wage-earner, not a veteran
Elaine, wife, 19, born MN, father NOR, mother MN, Stenographer/Architect’s Office, wage-earner

1934
In 1934, Raymond E. and Mrs. Elaine B CAVALIER were registered to vote in LA County, and resided at 1811 W. 41st Dr. (**Note that this is the same address given for George P. CAVALIER in the 1922, 24 and 26 Voter Registration lists.**)

1950
Here is a possible match in the CA Death Index for Raymond E. CAVALIER's wife:

California Death Index, 1940-1997
Name: Elaine Betsy Cavalier
[Elaine Betsy Christensen]
Social Security #: 0
Sex: FEMALE
Birth Date: 21 Nov 1910
Birthplace: Minnesota
Death Date: 19 Jan 1950
Death Place: Los Angeles
Mother's Maiden Name: Johnson
FATHER'S SURNAME: Christensen

If the above death record is indeed Raymond's wife, a search of the CA Birth Index for children with surname CAVALIER and mother's maiden name CHRISTENSEN, suggests that Raymond and Elaine may have had four children between 1933 and 1944.

1954
In 1954, Raymond E. CAVALIER was registered to vote in Sierra Madre City Precinct No. 3; his home address was 159 E. Laurel Ave. Elaine is not listed in this registration, but she and Raymond E. both were at that address in the 1948 registration list.

1987
This may be the SSDI entry for Alice CAVALIER Carnahan:
Social Security Death Index
Name: Alice Carnahan
SSN: 572-20-7238
Last Residence: 93041 Port Hueneme, Ventura, CA
Born: 20 Nov 1901
Died: Oct 1987
State (Year) SSN issued: California (Before 1951 )

Going back, I find George P. CAVALIER with his mother in 1900. Note that he had already been widowed, as had his mother.

1900 US Census, RI, Providence, EastProvidence, ED127, Sheet 7B
38 Brow Street
CAVALIER, George P., head, Sep 1870/, age 29, widowed, born MA, father WesternIsland (Port), mother MA, Stationery Engineer, rent house
Martha E., mother, March 1835, 65, widowed, bore 3 children/2 living, MA MA MA

I believe I found both his father and his mother in MA (in separate households) in 1880, but George P. wasn’t enumerated with either of them.
