Francis Lorie "Micky" Mick
Francis Lorie "Micky" Mick, 74, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, after prolonged illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Micky was born May 29, 1929, in Clarinda, Iowa, to Hilton and Edna Mick, both deceased. He served in the U.S. Air Force at Mountain Home, Idaho, where he met Dora Stewart. They were married July 18, 1950, at Kuna. They farmed for five years before moving to San Francisco where Micky worked for United Airlines as a mechanic for 32 1/2 years. Following retirement in 1991 they came to Caldwell where they have since resided. Micky is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dora; son, Dave, his family, Lynn, Maria, Crystal, Vicente, Julie and her husband, Terry; daughter, Marcy, and her husband, Larry, grandchildren, Aaron, Angie, husband, Brian, great-grandchild, Brian, and grandson, Tony; his daughter, Rowena, husband, Jerry, grandchildren, Dave, wife, Rose, great-grandchild, Riley, and grandchild, Amber; daughter, Mary, husband, Mike, grandchildren, Joshua and Elizabeth; daughter, Doreen, husband, Jesse, grandchildren, Amanda, Gabriel and Daniel; daughter, April, husband, Marty. He is also survived by two brothers, three sisters, three half brothers and four half sisters. Micky was preceded in death by his parents, one half brother and two half sisters.
