Is there anyone out there working on the RILEY - RALEY
families. I am trying to find John Raley SR who was born in NC abt 1787. He had a wife, Catherine, who was born abt 1795 MD. Catherine may very well have been a second wife. He had sons James, William, John JR, Sanford & Marion. He had a daughter, Vesta Ann Raley who was married to a Davis FOSTER. These first three sons were married to Sarah A. Shepherd, Elizabeth Shepherd & Susannah Shepherd. We know that this family traveled thru
OH because James Raley was born there. We know that James & Sarah A. Shepherd were married in Tippecanoe, IN. We
know that the remainder of the above children were born in IN. But we do not know what in what county they were born. James & John Raley born 1848 sons of James Raley SR above migrated to Saline Co, IL. There were marriage between those Raleys and Robert Gaskins of Clay Co, IL. Would appreciate if anyone had a bit of info reference this family. Thanks.
