Riley Family DNA Testing

I am a great great grandson of Johnathan and Sarah (Myers) Riley of Clay County, IL. Johnathan and Sarah came to Clay Co., IL from Wayne Co., IL sometime in the 1840s. They spent the remainder of their lives in Clay Co.

I have recently become interested in DNA testing for generalogical purposes. I've taken the 37 marker yDNA test with Family Tree DNA. Unfortunately, the results do not match any male Riley who has thus far been tested.

I would very much like to find a male Riley descendent of Johnathan and Sarah Riley who might consider doing a test to see if we can establish a family haplotype that ties back to Johnathan & Sarah Riley. Whether you are interested in actually doing the DNA test, I would still be interested in hearing from anyone who might be a descendent of this early Clay Co., IL couple.
