Still searching for Roy Lee Thompson. Someone kindly sent me a picture of him that knew him back in 1949/1950 and was able to confirm a couple of things. Roy did join the US Navy in 1950. He was staying off and on at the Langenfeld Hotel in Centralia Il at this time. His mom Pearl did live on Cherry St. in Centralia from at least 1949 to abt. 1957. He was born in July in either 1929 or 1930. He was an artist. He was abt. 6ft. tall with curly black hair. Sometime between 1950 and 1957 he spent time in California, he may have been stationed there. I found a US Coast Guard Veteren Roy Lee Thompson buried in Florida but can not find that Roy listed in the SS Death Index,I have no way of knowing wether or not it is him, and no others match dates. Can anyone please help me find him or any other family members?
