I am the director of the IL Confederate Graves Project. We are trying to find all the graves of Confederate soldiers buried in IL. Most Union soldiers jave been documented, but not many of the lost Confederate veterans have been identified. We know that four men from Clinton County are Confederate veterans and are buried in the Trenton City Cemetery. They are:
CLINTON COUNTY:

Trenton City Cemetery, Trenton, IL:
BAUCHENS, Fred, Sr., Pvt., AL unit CSA, b. 1841(Germany), d. 2 Sep 1896, L 110, B 3, Sec S, -
FRAZIER, John P., Corporal, Co. D, 57th NC Infantry, CSA, b. (NC), d. 7 Jul 1901, L 89, B 3, Sec S, -
HILL, William, Pvt., MO Volunteer cavalry, Swamp Rangers”, CSA, b. (MO), d. 3 May 1886, L 51, B 3, Sec S, -
SULLINS, Thomas, Pvt., prob. A MO unit, CSA, b. 1841 (MO), d. 31 Jan 1926, L 98, B 3, Sec S, -

If any one can help provide any information about these men or if you know of any other Confederate veterans buried in Clinton Co., or anywhere else in IL, please contact me at:
gf3smred@peaknet.net
or call me at: 618-622-8949.
I need your help.
Thanks.
