This is wonderful information! I did not know they about the newspaper article although I have searched Ancestry and did find other articles about John J. Blades and his son J. Wesley Blades. I went back and checked and could not find the article about the anniversary in Ancestry. Was this through another website for historical newspapers?
I enjoy the "personal" touches to add to the research. I'm glad you told me about this article, I will try to send for it.
Also, I have been in touch with the person who posted the information on the Blades family. We have been exchanging information, but the article you mentioned is new.
Thanks again for the help, it is always great to get "new" history, but personal family news is really wonderful.
