Searching For William Henry Gayle Died in Chicago in 1907

Hello,

I have tried to find info on my GG Grandfather, William Henry Gayle, born in Monroe, Lousiana Feb 12 1855, died Chicago, Illinois April 21 1907 or April 2 1907.
It's a long story, but he shows up on the 1900 Census in Chicago. I don't know how my Great Aunt knew about when and where he died, but this info came from her DAR application.
W.H. Gayle or "Willie" had a wife and two kids in Monroe, LA, but the story i got was that my Grandfather and great aunt were told that their Father was dead and their Mother, my Great Grandmother took them away to Missouri and then Waco, TX.
Online searches pulled up a W.H. Gayle in Illinois as a member of a Masonic Lodge. There is nothing else. I have also searched every page of every issue of the Chicago Tribune from March 20th 1907 to April 30 1907 and still no mention of him in death notices or obits.

I am at a dead end and would very much like to find out 1. Record of his death. 2. How he died. 3. Where he is buried. 4. What he did in Chicago and any other info on him.
Please, someone help me!
Thanks very much!
-philip
