I would love to hear from anyone with information on John Beard born January 31, 1782 in Virginia. He died 4-18-1859 in Clark County, Illinois. He married Ann Elizabeth Unknown before 1821. She was born 11-18-1793 in Virginia and died 10-5-1868. They were living in Jackson County, Ohio for the births of their eight children. Rebecca 1821, Isaiah 1826, Joseph 1828, Rachel 1830, Thomas 1832, Andrew Jackson Beard 10-17-1833, Elizabeth J. 1834, Margaret 1835. By the 1850 Census the whole family had moved to Clark County, Illinois. By the 1860 Census, Andrew Jackson Beard, his mother, Elizabeth and siblings, Isaiah, Rachel, Elizabeth, and Jospeh were in Crawford County, Illinois. In both the 1850 and 1850 Census there was a male child named Marion Baker living with this family. Andrew Jackson Beard and his wife Sarah Jane Ayers both died in Crawford County and are buried in the Hutsonville Cemetery. I would like to know if any Beards remain in Crawford County today that might tie into this family.
