Most of these people were probably Bedwells. These were common spelling differences. My line (Seaney) came to Crawford County in 1818 and some Bedwells came with them from Wayne County, Indiana. They were related to us all the way back to Delaware in the early 1700s. One group of Bedwells also settled in Terre Haute.
