The will of John D. Henson (grandfather of Ida M. Henson, Thomas' stepdaughter) shows Thomas' wife Margaret E. to have been the Elizabeth "Bessey" who married William Henson 22 Feb 1849 in DeWitt Co, IL. Looking back, I think I told you before that I don't believe this was actually her last name.
Thomas L.'s father Thomas Tovrea (it seems to have always been spelled Tovrea in McLean Co until that 1880 census) was in White Co, IL in 1820. I think Thomas L.'s parents must have come to IL as children, and must have been married in White Co because their oldest child was born (according to the 1850 census) in 1814 in IL. Thomas Sr. (again according to 1850) was born PA; wife Mary born NC. The children I have for Thomas Sr. and wife Mary are: Dorcus, Joshua, Elizabeth, Jane, Mary Ann, Charles, William, Thomas, Julia Ann, Rebecca, Melissa, and John. I have marriages for all of these if you want them. I haven't found them on the 1830 census, but they were in McLean Co by 1834, as this is when they purchased property there and daughter Elizabeth was married there.
Thomas L.'s first wife was Mary Williams, married 24 Apr 1854 in McLean Co, IL. I have never found them on the 1860 census. I have never found a burial for Thomas L. or either wife. Didn't think about it until now, but Thomas L. should have a Civil War file.
