Hello,
I plan to be in DeWitt County for a day or two in Oct, 2006. I cannot find hotel/motel listings for Clinton. Are there any accomodations close by?
I am descended from Tillman and Margaret Lyons Lane, through their son John Lane and wife, Rebecca. Then through their son, Asher Lane and Jane Lisenby, through their son, Harrison, who moved to MO. I guess I am probably kin to the Thompsons also.
Some of my grandfathers were preachers of the Christian Connection. Do any of the old churchs still exist and do they have services anymore? Can anyone tell me what days the genealogical library is open and availabe for research?
Would I be welcome at the courthouse?
I would like to see the cemeteries where some of my family are buried.
Would be happy to share what I have on the Asher Lane family.
