Boy, did your message bring back memories! I can't help at all in finding records for you but I used to sled down Boy's hill about a thousand years ago. It's now called Elson's Hill and is part of the West DuPage Forest Preserve and is on Gary's Mill Road. You might try the Winfield or West Chicago Historical Societies. Winfield didn't have a newspaper during that time but West Chicago did, although I don't remember ever seeing much in the way of birth announcements.

And as I remember it, that hill was a killer! At least one of my schoolmates broke a leg there. It's still used for sledding but I'm sure it's much safer now.
