Thanks for your efforts to clear this up. The first quote would seem to indicate that the sections in question were already in Will County and just voted to remain there. The second seems to indicate that perhaps Lisle was once called DuPage Township also. Confusing at best. If the gal who started this thread saw a DuPage township in the 1850 census I wonder if there was a Lisle township listed also. Would make it difficult to know where one was. Next time I go to the National Archives I will check.
