I've found a mention of the Boie family in the Winfield Glimpses newspaper from March 1, 1958: "The Glimpses makes mistakes. But only we, who compile it know how desperate we strive to avoid such errors! We did make a boner last month. In speaking of tobagonning, we spoke of the fun folks had on Boyd's Hill. And unless you newcomers, who will be tomorrow's old-timers pay heed, perhaps future generations will continue to call it Boyd's hill. That's wrong, says a local authority. Tis Boie's hill. Way back in 1910, John Boie had a farm on that sharp decline. So says Bob Stuart, fire chief. Is this authoratative? Gilbert Boie, son of John, is Mr. Stuart's brother-in-law. Old names are sort of sacred to history. So, remember, if you break a leg tobagonning on the hill, t'was Boie's - not Boyd's hill." I have a photocopy of this article and if you'd like it, I'd be happy to send it to you. Cheers, Kay
