Funeral homes in Edwards County during the mid to late 1800's.

Were there any funeral homes in Edwards County during the mid to late 1800's?? I am trying to find information on my third great grandparents, Abram and Katherine Sheraden(spelling varies). They were living during the 1870 census, but apparently were gone by the 1880. I can't find out anything else because no probate or estate papers, no death certs. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks, Donna Sheraden
