Sorry I am just seeing this message. In case you are still doing the research, there was a large migration of folks from Washington Co., OH to Bone Gap, Edwards Co., IL in the mid 1850's or so. Surnames included: Stanley, Galer, McKibben, Nichols, Dutton. There are published books on the Stanley, McKibben, Nichols and Dutton but not a whole lot on the Galer (spelled various ways to include Gaylord). Hope this will add to your research some.
