Have information about the Effingham County family of Herman Albrecht (1838-1892) and Wilhelmine Klitzing (1840-1934) who were the parents of six daughters. Herman was born 12 April 1838 in Krien, Kreis Anklam, Pommern, today part of the FRG State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. He was a brother to my ancestor, Fred Albrecht (1829-1896) a farmer in Worth Twp, Cook Co, Il after their 1857 emigration. Herman and Fred were two of eight known children of Johann David Albrecht and Maria Gladrow. Herman and Minnie were farmers in Moccasin Twp until his death and Minnie, his widow, remained as a farmer/farm owner in this twp through the 1930 census. Welcome questions or comments from others researching this family.
