Looking for family of Catherine (Catharine) Davis of Effingham Co., Illinois

I am looking for any information at all about a Catherine Davis listed in the 1850 census of Effingham County.
She is listed as the head of house age 47 born in VA
Children are:
Mary age 24 b. Ohio
Isaac age 17 b. Ohio
Barbara? age 16 b. Ohio
Melvin A age 4 b. Illinois
Martha L age 3 b. Illinois

Catherine is listed in the 1860 census in Twp 7 range 5 east Effingham Co. (would that be Jackson Twp?) . Her name is spelled Catharine in 1860 and her and Martha are living with son Issac and family.

I can only assume that her husband most likely died (or left?) between 1846 and 1850.

Any information at all would be appreciated. I believe her daughter Mary may be my gr gr grandmother, Mary Ann Davis who married Nicholas Sheeks.
