I have been researching the Wheat family which came into Shelby County in 1828 from Roane County, Tennessee. I have been trying to gather information on a Lawrence Wheat who was the son of John Wheat. John Wheat was a grocer who died in Decatur, Illinois in 1926. John's son Lawrence was an attorney and I think that the Lawence Wheat of Effingham was that son. If it is, I would like to know where he is buried etc.
