I'm trying to find out more information on Charles Smith who married Irenah King on Aug. or Sept. 15, 1836 in Brown Co., IN. After he married Irenah they moved to Sefton Twp., Fayette Co., IL. The following is all I know:
Charles Smith b. between 1810 and 1815 in KY d. after 1870
m. Irenah King on Sept. 15, 1836 in Jackson Twp., Brown Co., IN by Rev. Jerry King (may be Irenah's father). Irenah was b. about 1816. Her parents were Jeremiah King and Tabitha Alcorn.
Charles and Irenah's children were:
William Charles b. about 1840 IL
Phebe M. b. about 1841 IL, m. Ira R. German April 27, 1857
Elizabeth b. about 1843 IL
Mary A. b. about 1846 IL
Martha J. b. about 1848 IL
Nancy J. b. about 1851 IL
Silas Elmer b. Nov. 1854 IL, d. March 12, 1923, m. Sierra Nevada Morgan July 1, 1875
Does anyway have any more info. on Charles Smith? Any help would be appreciated!
