Hey Beverly!

Thanks for responding. I am a descendant of Clements George Mattes and Sophia Bauer. My g-grandparents were (their son), George Clements Mattes and his wife, Mary Olive Paradee, thus my interest in the Paradee's.

I have been to the Hoffman Cemetery and seen the Mattes graves there. As well as some in the Vandalia city cemetery. Do you know where Edwin Paul was buried?

I've been working with a couple of lines from George Clements and have Mattes info if you run into any "Mattes" descendants who are interested have them contact me:
